2011 Calendar of Events

Sunday May 1st

SPRING MIXER

This is a scramble event.  Sign up individually by Thursday, April 27th (the signup deadline).  Teams will be assigned by the GHIN system.  This will be a shotgun start at noon followed by Hors D'oeuvres.  The cost will be posted

on the signup sheet in the Pro Shop

Sunday May 15th

MATCH PLAY QUALIFIER

$10.00 cost.   To Determine Seating ONLY. The signup deadline is May 12th.

EVERYONE WILL PLAY AT LEAST ONE MATCH.

HICKORY RIDGE CUP

Men's & Women's Divisions

This is a two (2) day event.  Handicap will be 100%.  Total score less handicap determine the winners.   Sign up individually by Wednesday May 25th.  The GHIN system will do the pairings and tee times.  Tournament cost will be $16.00.  The starting time will be 10:00 AM.

Saturday June 11th

6-6-6 TOURNAMENT

(Open Division)

This is a two person team event.  Sign up as a team or individually

by Thursday, June 10th.  Low team score will be comprised of six

(6) holes played as best ball, six (6) holes alternate shot, and six

(6) holes as a scramble.  The cost will be $8.00 per person.

Saturday June 18th

3-2-1 TOURNAMENT

Men's & Women's Divisions

This is a 4 person team event.  Sign up as a team or individually by

Wednesday, June 15th.  Low team score will consist of the lowest

3 scores on the par 3's + the lowest 2 scores on the par 4's +

the lowest score on the par 5's.  Tournament cost will be $8.00 per person.

Tee times to begin at 8:00AM

Monday July 4th

FLAG TOURNAMENT

Men's & Women’s Divisions

The Pro Shop has a block of tee times from 10:30AM - 12:30PM.

Make up your own twosome or foursome and tee times from those available.

For this tournament you add your handicap to par.  When you reach that number you plant your flag.  The winner is the person that goes the furthest around the course.  If you play all 18 holes and still have strokes left you continue on the 1st hole until you have used up your strokes.  Tournament cost is $8.00.

Signup deadline is July 1st.

Monday July 11th

SENIOR CLUB

CHAMPIONSHIP

Men's & Women's Divisions.  Must be 55 years old by the date of the tournament (over 65 for Super Senior Division). This tournament is 100% handicap. There are two winners in each division, Low Gross & Low Net.  The tournament cost is $8.00.  Signup deadline is July 7th. Tee Times start at 8:00 AM

Sunday July 17th

TWO PERSON

REVERSE SCRAMBLE

Mens, Womens and Mixed

Sign up as a team by Wednesday, July 14th.  Check the board for an

explanation of this event. Tournament cost will be $8.00 per person. 

Tee times begin at 8:00AM.

Saturday July 30th

TWO PERSON BEST BALL

Men’s, Women’s and

Mixed Divisions

This tournament will be a member/member 2 person Best Ball. 

Signup deadline is July 27th.  Sign up by teams.  Tournament cost

Is $16.00 per team. Tee times begin at 8:00 AM.

Saturday August 20th

RED, WHITE & BLUE TOURNAMENT

This is a mixed scramble event.  Sign up individually.  The tournament cost is $8.00 per person.  Committee will draw hole number from one hat and tee color from another to determine what tee will be played from for each hole.  Signup deadline is August 17th.  Shotgun start at 8:00 AM

Saturday September 3rd Sunday September 4th

CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS

Sign up individually by August 31st.  Pairings will be done by the GHIN system.  Cost is $16.00   This event is SCRATCH.

Tee times begin at 8:00AM

Sunday September 11th

TWO PERSON BEST BALL

Men's, Women's

& Mixed Divisions

This tournament will be a member/member or member/guest.

Two person best ball utilizing 90% handicap.  Sign up deadline is

September 8th.  We will allow league handicaps for guests if they

do not have established USGA Handicaps.  Tournament cost is

$16.00 per team.  This does not include greens and cart fees for

guest which must be paid directly to the Pro Shop.  Tee times are

scheduled to begin at 10:00AM. Sign up as a two person team but choose your own foursome.

Sunday September 18th

MR. & MRS. CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP

As the name implies, husbands and wives play as a two person event.  The format is total aggregate less handicap of 100%.

Sign up deadline is September 16th. Cost is $16.00 per team.

Tee times are scheduled to begin at 10:00AM

Sunday October 2nd

YEAR END MIXER

& AWARDS BANQUET

This will be a noon shotgun start followed by cocktails and dinner.

Sign up includes golf and dinner.  There will be a sign up sheet for dinner only for guests or members that cannot play golf.  Sign up deadline is September 28th.  Cost will be posted on the sign up sheet. Shotgun at 12:00 Noon.

A GLOW BALL TOURNAMENT WILL BE HELD ON A FRIDAY NIGHT.
